Slaton Nonprofits Encouraged to Apply for Grant Funding

May 13, 2014 Press Release 0

Nonprofit organizations that serve the Slaton community are encouraged to apply to Mercy Ministries Slaton Area Endowment for grants to fund programs in the areas of civic and community benefit, education, social services, health and human services.  Applicants may request up to $1,500. Grant awards will be announced at the annual July 4th Festival at Slaton Park.

To download an application and learn more about the grants process, go to www.mercyslatonendowment.org and click on Grants and Scholarship. To learn more about the Mercy Ministries Slaton Area Endowment, request further grant application information or discuss grant proposals contact Mark Meurer at (806)789-8456.

Each year, the Mercy Ministries Slaton Area Endowment will award grants for a wide range of community needs through its discretionary grants program.  Donors who set no restrictions on the use of their gifts, allow the Mercy Ministries Slaton Area Endowment Advisory Board to assess community needs and respond by awarding grants to the nonprofit organizations that undertake our community’s most critical work. Discretionary funds enable us to support long-term solutions, respond quickly to emergencies, and meet changing needs in our community.

The Mercy Ministries Slaton Area of Endowment, an affiliate Lubbock Area Foundation, provides a way for each and every citizen to lend a hand that’s always ready to help when needed – now and for generations to come.
